The event took place on Thursday, December 18 at 6:30 pm with a meeting dedicated to discussing the meaning of borders as places of encounter and transformation, entitled “Borderlands: Between Barriers to Be Dismantled and Shared Spaces to Be Built.” Drawing on the book Lampedusa. A Mediterranean History by Dionigi Albera, the discussion reflected on the dynamics shaping borderlands, their contradictions, and the possibilities they open up for imagining more just and inclusive futures.
